Varan Freestone learnt the importance of giving, nurturing and supporting others, as a child. It is core to the way she lives her life. Growing up in South Africa during Apartheid led to many challenges, including gender inequality, income disparity. Varan is based in our Melbourne office. She founded and facilitates the WISE program [Women-Informed-Supported-Enlightened] on behalf of organisations including NAB.

Kirsten Ford, Project Associate, is a Bachelor of Arts graduate from the University of Sydney. Kirsten’s studies of the intersections between Political Economy and gender as a part of her major have motivated her to work towards implementing solutions for gender issues in Australia, particularly for young women. Kirsten is passionate about CDP’s Wellbeing and Young Future Leaders Programs.
